this well will provide
the best drinking water
in the world.
He and I became anxious while digging 130m until we hit water.
I picked the site
with his help over the phone.

숨결새벌님 말씀대로라면
우리가 먹는 물 가운데 온누리에서
가장 좋은 물이 나올 우물을 판다.
그와 내가 함께 찾아낸 물자리라
130m를 파는 동안 물이 비칠 때까지
그와 나는 마음을 무척이나 졸였다.

Consulting with my architect about all the details of the construction while we were gone.

양소장님과 그동안의 어려움과
잘잘못을 가려내는 한 때

내가 대학 다닐 때였다.
아버지 퇴직 후 왕십리집에서
개봉동으로 이사가기 전에
마포에 있는 엄마 친구 집에
잠시 세들어 산 적이 있었는데
그 분 아들이 양소장님을 중매해
거창에 자리잡게 했단다.
그 때 부터 이일은 준비되고 있었다

뇌수술을 두번이나 받고
부산에 계신 오라버님 집에서
요양 중인 안젤라 어머니께서
오라버니 이종우님 부부의 도움받아
멀리서 함께 들러주셨다.
빗자루, 쓰레받이, 쓰레기통,
비누그릇, 빨래판에 파리채까지
나중에 이사들어가 살림 풀 때까지
그리 요긴하게 쓰일 줄 모르고
얼떨결에 받아 놓았었다.

My student Jiyeon's Mom who helped us since day one of this project came yesterday and stayed overnight to return to Seoul together and we will leave for America from her Jamsil apartment tomorrow.
