Long and short needles
look like stamen  
In the flowery cushion.
Twisted thread skeins
Skinny thin bobbins wound
their waists fat and colorful.
Tightly embroidered thimble
Mom’s forefinger shielded.
Big fabric cutting scissors
Flat thread clippers.
They make a friendly gang.
Polished long bamboo ruler
 in its leather case
showing its long friendship.
Ruler, scissors,
 needle ’n thread, thimble,
big and small irons are
her seven best friends.
